Nokia 3500 Classic, also known as Nokia 3500c is cell phone that boasts features rivalling superior and expensive models in a small affordable package. In addition to a 1.25�1.5 inches TFT display screen, common phone-directory and text-messaging features, 3500c supports multimedia, multimedia plus, flash and audio messages, web browser (html), java, email, MP3/MP4 player, multimedia player for videos, FM radio, voice recording, camera, and Bluetooth and USB connectivity options. It also accepts micro-SD memory cards to increase data storage capacity. 3500c also features applications and games, which can be stored either in memory cards or the phone's in-built memory. Many applications and games are easily available on the internet for this model.

Camera
The Nokia 3500 Classic cell-phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera which is of a good quality. The camera can be used to take still photographs at a maximum of 2 megapixel resolution or video clips at a maximum resolution of 176�144 pixels. The phone-camera will store as many photographs as its memory will allow or as long a video clip as its memory will allow. To save on memory consumption the camera can capture still images at lower resolution that result in smaller files. The camera also features a Night mode for photography in low light conditions such as indoor photography. A zoom function is provided for proper framing of the object being photographed. The zoom function appears to be a digital zoom since there are no moving lenses in the camera. The camera is always in focus therefore alleviating the need to focus. It will focus object from a distance of 4 inches to infinity. This makes it essentially a point-n-click camera, very simple to use. A 10 second self-timer makes it possible to take a picture of oneself. The camera also takes sequences of still images, which can useful for capturing action packed scenes. There is also an option to select the appropriate white balance for daylight, tungsten light and fluorescent light conditions, but by default the camera selects the appropriate white balance automatically. There are some interesting effects available to vitalize your pictures including false colours, greyscale, sepia, negative, and solarise.

Memory
3500c comes with 1 GB internal memory that is shared by the operating system and it will accept micro-SD (Secure Digital) flash memory cards to increase memory up to 2 GB.

Transferring Images/Data to PC
The operating system is Symbian 40 Operating System which in addition to the operational features also supports data communications between 3500c and a PC. Communication options include cellphone data transfer through Nokia PC Suite software, data transfer directly to cellphone memory in a USB flash drive mode, and PictBridge connectivity for printing high quality photographs directly to PictBridge-compatible printer. All of these functions are mediated through a common USB mini-connector. Any standard USB cable can be obtained from local market and used.

Conclusion
In short, it's a great point-n-shoot camera in an attractively priced beautiful and a very capable cell-phone. A very good value for money, indeed.
