QV-R51

I have a Casio QV-R51 that just started to show white horizontal lines after 18 months of use. The AVI mode works fine, but the problem shows up in 'still' mode. Batteries are charged, no dropping of the camera, memory card has been reformatted, flash memory mode shows same problem. Any ideas why?

Hello,
I'm in Japan and have a question. I know you are probably so busy, but I wanted to try your knowledge if you have the time.

I have a Casio QVR-51 digital camera. I started a forum on your site in October, but no replies :( I appreciate you making such a great site for people to network.

My questions are; I removed my CCD chip and have a 'K866 CCD' stamped on the chip board, do you know anything about reported failure on that chip as in the recall of cameras from many makers? And do you know how I reference that part number to buy a replacement CCD?

Thank you in advance......and if you don't have time to reply, I understand.
