Electronic shutter?I'm looking for a camera withe non-mechanical shutter to use for time lapse work - one shot every 15 seconds will kill even an EOS shutter in a couple of months ... any suggestions? John Petttt I remember my Olympus C-2500L had an electronic shutter. It's many years old though. Are you looking for more recent digital cameras? I believe most point-and-shoot digital cameras uses electronic shutters. Electronic shutter in SLR's are rare . . . mostly due to the SLR optical viewfinder. Chieh Cheng Hi We did use Olympus UZ-740 and took over a million images with it. Other option would be Olympus SP-350 that will power on automatically when USB is connected. Canon Powershot a640 will also work fine controlled with Gphoto2. See www.karhukamera.com for more information or send me a mail. --Mikko Mikko
