FinePix F30 FiltersThis F30 is a slick piece of work. But what I really need is a way to attach an ND filter to it. It's so sensitive that tends to blow the highlights in bright sunlight. Actually attaching a polarizer to it would give me even more options. Has any body seen a way to attach filters to Fuji's F30?

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a lens adapter for the Fuji F30. One thing you do is hold the ND filter up in front of the lens with your hand. It's a chore and tripod may help, but still tedious. If you don't mind modifying your camera, you can make your own lens adapter out of PVC pipe. It's quite expensive. Then you'll be able to mount all kind of stuff on your F30. I've covered that in easy-to-follow instructions in the "Hacking Digital Cameras" book.

there are a couple of companies that do filter adaptors for point and shoot cameras, the majority screw into the tripod connection. chris fane This company offers magnetic mounted lens adapters as well as bottom mounted ND filter setups for a plethora of cameras, including the F30 Someone I have bought cokin ND filters and mounted them with the help of the filter holder that has to be screwed to the tripod thread. Works ok, but it's not really P&S, takes some time to put everything together. rigojancsi
