Hacking Fuji cameras to save in RAWhttp://www.linux.com/feature/118946 Sunny Hi Sunny. I'd love to help you. Unfortunately, I don't have any Fuji digital cameras. So I don't even know where to start. :-( Probably the first thing to do is to find out what kind of processor chips it uses. Then start talking about it on forums and with other people. Eventually you'll be working someone that has enough knowledge about the processor to talk to it. Chieh Cheng Fuji cameras have the RP (Real Photo I,II or III) processor. Firmware updates are available on their site. But how to disassemble or otherwise get information on the software inside these cameras? Sunny I just read someone's post in the "nikon's OS" thread that the Nikon D70 firmware runs on the Fujitsu RealtimeOS FR. So I'm wondering if the Fuji digital cameras do the same. The OP's comment mentioned that you can see it in the firmware using a hex editor. Chieh Cheng Thanks for that update. I'll take apart the firmware download available for the S5800 on the fuji website and see who makes the firmware. sunny I found this, can be useful Flavio Camus
