Getting Rid of Time Stamp

I got a picture of my nephew. And it's a cute picture but there's this time stampt thing on there. How do I get rid of it?

I wonder if digital pics store the portion of the image that is block by stuff like time stamps. maybe there are cameras that allow you to input the place where you took the picture. regardless, the camera should still keep a portion of the image blocked so that it can be digitally retrieved in post-editing.

are there cameras that already do that? programs that already do that?

say you want to keep the time stamp...fine...but you don't like the location...so, in post production, you're allow to move it around in post production...or even do it on the camera.
