Camedia Master Software

I own a Olympus D-360L digital camera. I recently lost my software CD. Does anybody know where I can get a FREE copy of it or Camedia Master Software?

Unfortunately Camedia Master is not free, so you won't be able to download it from anywhere. You can purchase the latest version directly from Olympus:

You can download any version of the software from there for free that comes with the camera if you lost the disk.

If you go to the olympus website the only available downloads are updates only. You must have Camedia software already on your pc to update to a newer version. I don't have the software on my pc at all and am unable to locate the free software anywhere. I hope this info helps.

Hi guys, you don't need to worry about getting an actul CAMEDIA MASTER program. You can get a Camera Contraller from Pine Tree Computing. It's free downloading and supports most of the Olympus cameras.

I found this on another site and it worked for me. If all you are doing is trying to access your pics it works great. I use other software to edit the pictures anyways.

I had the same experience as well, I have the CD but Since it was scracth here and there, I was unable to use it anymore, luckily I was trying to download my picture from my Olympus C730 UZ using ACDSee, and it is working fine. Now I no need to look after the CD anymore. You can try it...and it is easy.

There are some downloads available for Olympus digital cameras on www.driverguide.com . You can search their website as much as you want, but you'll have to register (free) to be able to download any files. But I haven't been able to find Olympus Master yet.

i am now 43, at 14, iwas almost killed by an articulate lorry and had to learn to walk again, in june & july 2001, i survived 2 strokes and had to learn yat again, how to walk, also how to talk and understand.
i am not yet 100% fit, however, even though i explained to OLYMPUS UK all of the above and that i bought a D395 C-160 digital camera off the internet and that the cd was scratched and so i threw it away, PLEASE could they send me a new one.
they told me to hold the line.
I DID FOR 35 MINUTES AND THEN IT WENT DEAD, GGGRRRrrrrr !!!!!!!
OLYMPUS OLYMPUS WE LOVE YOU (NOT !!!!).
can anyone let me know how to get a camedia master version software disc ?, if you have one, please let me download it and send it back to you, so i can put my pics onto a disc for my kids to keep after i have my 3rd and final stroke, which if it were left to OLYMPUS, would have already been had.

Hey guy, you don't really need Camedia Master software to download picture from your olympus digital cameras, all you need is just a Card Reader/writer , all you do is just take out the SM card or whatever card in your digital camera is and slide it in to the right slot, there are a lot of card readers/writer in the market, you can buy one from the computer store, make sure you the right one, i got 23-in-one card reader/writer it fine for me, i can download pictures from my Olympus C-3000 zoom digital camera, so check it out and good luck

Okay, who here was stupid enough to buy an Olympus camera? Don't feel bad, Canon pisses on its loyal customers the same way too. What a pathetic bunch of idiots they are to not make the camera software available. For those looking for the software for the Olympus d-360l, I have the disc, its Camedia Master 1.2 the whole pgm is only 20 megs and I have it winzipped up...so if you need it...email me and if you can accept that big of a file via email I will be glad to email it to you..

I had an *OLD* D-510, retired in 2004 after I broke the LCD. Grandpa was found using a cheapie disposable so I gave him the Olympus; unfortunately, the the CD's in one of a gazillion boxes yet unpacked from moving.

*YOUR* post finally gave me what I needed to get the camera working from the PC.

BTW, you are right on the money with Opera. I've used it for about 10 years. ;c)

I boughtan Olympus C-740 which I think is a good camera. However, there was a Camedia 4.1 with it, Before long the suppliers gave me another Camedia disk without any explanation. Then I found you had to pay another £20 to get the e-mail modification via an "un-lock" code. This appeared to work well except when I got onto Send. The PC came up with "Sender refused 530 authentication required". Olympus have been slow to suggest a solution and I feel rather passed from one to another.

Do yourselves all a favor and go in ebay and pick up the master 1.1 software. I got mine for like 10 bucks. I bought a C3030 on ebay and did not have the software. Nearly drove myself nuts looking online for free downloads. The only downloads you can get are from olympus and they are upgrades. You must have the master first. You can buy it from olympus for 19.99 but, ebay is cheaper:)

You know I think Olympus controls who sells the Master Software on E-Bay, because you can hardly find but a few available and when/if you do they are bid so high you may as well go to the olympus website and purchase it for top-dollar. Also, 98% of the disks available on E-bay are sold by Olympus themselves, (damaged packages), exactly who most of us Olympus camera owners do not want to give another dime to.
One more thing to note is the reason Olympus does not make the software readily available is to prevent theft. They figure that a theif won't steal an Olympus Camera if they can't use it, which may be the case for many of the people on this page, who don't have the software.
I have one thing to say them.... steal the software (disk)....instead of the camera ....it's more valuable than the camera itself... well at least more desireable.... as you can see here. Thx!

I agree with Sam. Bypass the software and get a multiple format card reader. They are inexpensive, plug-n-play, and often come built-into newer computers. If your computer doesn't have one, they can be had at most computer retailers or on ebay, for probably less than buying new software. Good luck.

Brendon! You're terrific! The version 2.5 that I downloaded from your link works and my computer now recognizes my Olympus Camedia c-211. Whereas the version 4 of Camedia Master was too new and didn't recognize my camera.

Hay I have an Olympus E-500 bought in Japan a couple of years ago. when I first installed my Olympus master software it only dsplays in Japanese I had to download another file OM_LANG_ENU.exe to convert it to english and this worked fine. but recently I rebuilt my computer and now I can find this translation programe anywhere it's only been 2 years. does anybody have a copy of it?

I have also lost the software, phoned up digital support in Prague, they directed me to Olympus Imaging Software - Olympus Master 2 for Olympus Master 2 (Free) then I went to Olympus - Software
and downloaded XD201_Setup.exe (at the bottom) to activate xD card functions

The above downloads for Master 2.0 work with my MS Vista. My old Master 4.2 does not. A search of Olympus shows 4.2 will not completely upgrade to Vista. 4.2 will not upload from the camera under Vista.

I am very confused. Why does anyone need cammedia to get their pix? Can't you just take out the xd flash memory , put it in a usb reader and copy over to your pc. What am I missing?

Not only that, if you plug your camera straight into your pc, it will think that its simply a mass storage device and you can copy the pix over that way without even removing the xd flsah.

Now if Cammedia actually provides the ability to control the camera from the pc then that's interesting and I guess I will have to spend some time digging around looking for my Cd that came with my 740.

My main camera died, so I am back to using the ancient d450 until I get a new camera. grrr How badly do I want to spend money to make this 1999/1.3meg camera usable? My phone has twice the pixels.
I can't find my Camedia 1.1 disk and have had at least 6 computers since I got that camera. I realize Oly is a money making enterprise, but they expect us to pay for 8yo software??? All they are generating is ill will. They Oly E510 and SP560uz were two models I have been seriously looking at, and now have less interest in buying. That's a $900 and a $500 camera I may now pass on. Funny how life works!
Here on this site there must be at least 50 people who can't find the software for their cameras, which essentially makes them unusable. When they finally give up and buy new cameras, guess who they won't look at? The company that last left the bad impression!

Windows Vista Olympus Camera D-360L software. I just edited this software to work with windows vista. I also have the Camedia Master disk i could make an iso of and send to people if anyone wants the stock verson of the software. I only tested this with my own Camera. so there is no support for this file!

After several months of fustration, unsucessful downloads (from various sights), I finally bought a CARD READER for under $10 on ebay. Just pop your card out of the camera then into the card reader and everything downloads into the computer, no additional software required. Works like a charm, no hassling with the Camedia software and all the updates, add-ons, etc., etc. I have the C-2100 ultra-zoom.

Be careful with the card readers!!! If you have an older (like mine, c-3000) camera; you must not delete or change anything on the card from the OS. The card will lose its formatting and become unusable in the camera. I have lost 2 SmartMedia cards this way. SmartMedia is no longer manufactured; so once it's lost it's lost.

Wow.. I couldn't find my cd either and after trying most of whats available I felt I was out of luck as well. I have a C-3000 zoom and have found my original cd. Installed the software and works as it did originally. Attached is a photo of the cd. version 2.0
