Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 -- A Royal Digital Camera

Olympus Corporation is a Japanese company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. They are well known for optics and imaging products. Initially they are specialists in microscopes and thermometer businesses. Olympus introduced its new digital camera in its tough series called Olympus Stylus Tough 6020. It has the features of freeze proof, water proof, shock proof and crush proof. The anodized aluminium plating and double sealing ensures incredible resistant.

In freeze proof, it can withstand up to 14 degrees of Fahrenheit. The water proof is good in 16 feet underwater. It can resist maximum pressure in shock proof up to 1 to 5 m. The crush proof will manage a five foot drop. The dimension of this camera is 95 x 62 x 22 mm (3.7 x 2.4 x 0.9 inches). It has a 14.0 Megapixels of effective image resolution. It contains 2.7 inches (6.9 cm) LCD display having 230,000 dots. It includes 1/2.33 inches (6.13 x 4.6 mm) CCD type of sensor. The image ratios offered by this camera are 4:3 and 16:9.

The ISO sensitivity ranges from auto, ISO 64 to ISO 1600. The zoom at wide end and tele end are 28 mm and 140 mm respectively. The minimum focus range is 50 cm and the macro focus range is 1 cm. The lens aperture ranges from f/3.9 to f/5.9. The minimum and maximum shutter speed of the camera is 1/4 of a second and 1/2000 of a second respectively. The self timer options will be 2 and 12 seconds. The optical zoom of the lens is 5x. Stylus Tough 6020 provides awesome group photos, close up shots and distant capture.

Stylus Tough 6020 offers high quality images and record high definition movies. The photos and videos captured can be viewed comfortably on a television which gets connected through HDMI port. The new image browsing software allows the user to tag the captured images. The tagged images can be surfed through camera's display, computer or a television. It includes a built-in dual image stabilization which helps to take fast shooting. The features like magic filter, beauty mode to i-Auto mode offers impressive images. The AF tracking also works well in this camera and provides a perfect shot.

The camera display has a HCC III triple coating which protects the display from reflection, bright sunlight, scratches and moisture. So shooting under these conditions is quite easy. The double lock mechanism acts as security cover for battery, ports and memory slots. The in-camera manual is used to navigate through the camera and the user can easily understand the operating of the camera with ease. The tap control can be improved by scrolling and tilting the camera body.

Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 is available in candy pink, midnight black, steel blue and cosmic green colors. It contains 1 GB of internal memory. It uses SD/SDHC memory cards for storage purpose. It uses a lithium-ion LI-50B rechargeable battery for power. The camera weighs 122 grams (4.3 ounces) with batteries. Olympus Stylus Tough 6020 is priced around 400 US Dollars.
