Pinout for Olympus pen e-pl1 e-p2 accessory port and vf-2 viewfinder

Does anyone out there have any technical details in regard to the accessory port on the pen cameras? Ep1 epl1 ep2 etc? In particular does anyone have a Pinout of the connections in the port? Any one know what is the video format used to send the image to the vf-2 vf2 evf electronic viewfinder? What is the Pinout on the vf-2 viewfinder? Any help would be truly appreciated. Anyone know how I could find this out on my own? How to hack the pinouts? How to test what the video output is?

In this howto for building a combined video out and shutter release cable, the author documents all 12 pins for the Olympus combined cable:

Note, the E-PL1 does not support the shutter release, but the other Pens do.

It would be interesting to find what the accessory port pins are. I've thought it might be a varient of HDMI or displayport.

For analogue video output, Olympus cameras put out QVGA video (320x240). There are now devices out there that combine video out and shutter release. Here is a review of the Yongnuo device that I bought for $70 from ebay:

Given the E-PL1 does not provide a shutter release, you can adapt a mechanical shutter release and video out to get something similar. Before I got the Yongnuo I bought first a Wolverine MyMovie pocket video camera and then a JXD 969 hand held mp4 player that does video input (the Wolverine uses custom batteries, and is now out of production, the JXD 969 uses standard Nokia batteries, note newer JXDs have gone the custom battery route).
