permitting panoramic mode

I would like to ask about almost a hack:
reformatting a Fuji XD card so my wife's olympus c-750 UZ will recognize as an olympus card this is a M 512 card which is supported by the camera without any firmware updates ( if that would help at all)

there is talk out there and a lot has been mentioed by nothing precise like " do this" mostly the talk concerns fol;ks who went to Hawaii or somplace expensive, took many photos and came home and could not access the photos/ Because they had used an unsuported card. or had not tested things before hand ( like the person who buys an expensive camera on the way to the airport and never gets any pictures )

do you know of a way to reformat a FUJI xp card so my wife's olympus c750uz will think it is a genuine olympus card and permit the panoramic mode? This is a nasty little trick olympus does to make prople buy their cards.
