Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 -- A Valuable Digital Camera

Panasonic is a Japanese multinational corporation with its headquarters in Osaka, Japan. They produce electronic products under names including Panasonic and Technics. Panasonic is the largest Japanese electronic producer. Panasonic unveiled the new world's lightest interchangeable lens camera having a viewfinder called Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 digital camera.

The dimension of this camera is 124 x 84 x 74 mm (4.88 x 3.29 x 2.91 inches). It contains a 12.1 Megapixels of Live MOS sensor. It includes a Venus Engine HD II as well. It contains a 3 inch LCD display having 460,000 dots. The digital zoom is up to 4x. The ISO sensitivity ranges from auto, ISO 100 to ISO 6400. The shutter speed ranges from 60 seconds to 1/4000 of a second. The self timer options are 2 seconds and 10 seconds. The flash synchronization speed is 1/160 second. The electronic LCD color viewfinder has a magnification of 1.04x.

Lumix DMC-G10 comes with outstanding compactness and portability. The micro four third standards eliminate the number of components in this camera and made this camera a compact one with excellent features. The high-speed auto focusing is possible under the contrast AF. Using the AF tracking feature, this camera locks the subject and keep in control even when the subject moves. The face recognition function recognizes the faces of the people.

The iA (intelligent Auto) mode offers easy shooting with automatic optimization with respect to the scenes in capturing of photos and movie recording. The camera can be activated directly by the new iA button without any trouble. The My Color mode includes seven color settings and one custom setting which matches the shooting object according to the situation in photo recording. This camera can record 720 pixels high definition movie in motion JPEG format. It bears a HDMI output capability and so the dynamic movies and photos captured can be played back in large HDTV using the HDMI mini cable.

It has a high efficient dust reduction system and so the dust and other materials do not get into the camera even when the user change the lenses. The wind cut function blocks the noise from the background wind. The intelligent exposure checks the light level and adjusts the exposure settings according to the shooting conditions. The intelligent scene selector switches between the normal, portrait, scenery, close up and low light modes according to the situation. The camera provides 26 scene modes as well.

The connectivity available with this camera is USB 2.0, video out, wired remote control DMW-RSL1 and HDMI. It uses SD/SDHC memory cards for storage. It uses 1250 mAh 7.2v lithium-ion rechargeable battery for power. It provides 410 shots for a single full-time charge. The camera body weighs 336 grams (11.85 ounces) and with supplied lens, card and battery it weighs 558 grams (19.68 ounces). Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 is priced around 600 US Dollars.
