Mavica MVC-350 disk error...death of camera?
Seems Sony creates pricey cameras but makes them like throw-aways.
The disk error C:13:01 is constant on my Mavica. I've done the reset, power reset, tried new cds, cleaned the disk lens.
No luck. One exception, if I put the old Mavica disk in the camera it will initialize, I can take one picture, camera records and then no picture nothing!!!
Asking around I know fixing this problem is costly at a repair shop. I've been told it usually (problem) is due to a bent bar in the lens assembly, but repair shops prefer to replace the whole unit for big bucks.
Anyone corrected this problem themselves?
