book on specific or general overview of the inside of a digital camera
i would like to know if there are any books or webpages that you may know of, that explain the inner workings of a specific or general overview of the inside of a digital camera.
like say what each wire is for etc. i would like to take apart a digital camera and work on hybridizing a couple if possible just to see if i can. any suggestions?

I am not aware of any books on the market that explains the specifics of the electronics and the purpose of each wire. The electronics are generally very specific to each camera and each manufacturer.
The only book I know of that has examples of the digital camera internals and how to tie in to the electronics is my "Hacking Digital Cameras" book. I suggest you start with this book.
And then start asking more specific questions, about your "hybridizing" project.
