hello!
would it be possible to build the cmos chip + board from canon eos300d in another camera? do anyone have informations about the communication between shutter and cmos chip? is it necessary to told that chip the current exposure time? how many sensors has the eos 300d? my idea is to use the flasch sync to shot the cmos sensor.. would it be possible??

please dont laugh about it.. just answer.. best regards

in simple terms, no. this is a bold task and to extract the image from the chip would prove to be very challenging. furthermore, ud have trouble aliening the lens mount and chip so they would be absolutely parallel. these are the problems that i can think of off the top of my head, not thinkng very hard. now i dont want to discuredge you, just kinda fasing the facts, it takes many profecionals to design something (like P&S cameras) that an idiot can use.

but if you do go ahead with it, take many photos of your proses and document regularly, not only for my curiosity, but there are others who are proficient in this who might stumble upon your work and lend you a hand
