I'm trying to revert back to the original 1.1.1 Canon firmware after installing the hack. I've loaded the 1.1.1 from Canon and I have a flashin red eye icon in the LCD screen. From recent posts this is used to indicate that a hacked version has been installed. One guy said I had to install the hacked firmware once more and set the custom functions to the following BINARY bit map:
0,0,0,0,0,1,0,11,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
Where I believe the 11 = 3 decimal, so option 3 for this custom function.
However when I try and alter the custom functions they don't get set when I hit the SET button.
Can you help me on this?
Once I have set the custom functions to the above bit map I am to install the 1.1.1 Canon firmware and my flashing red eye icon will be fixed and I'm back to the factory default code.
Cheers
Gordon.

Just for clarification:
1. Which hacked firmware was installed in the Digital Rebel at the beginning? Wasia? UnDutchables?
2. Which hacked firmware did you install after installing the Canon firmware?
3. Does the SET button not work for ANY of the custom functions? Or does it just not work for C.Fn 8?
You might want to try reloading the hacked firmware again to see if the problem gets solved.
