I have an A620 that somehow got something inside the lens. A small pear shaped "dead zone" started appearing in pictures while I was in Hawaii. The edges of this "dead zone" are blurred, so I don't think their dead-pixels. Not to mention, it's not pure black in the images anyway.
The camera is under warranty, but I suspect something like this wouldn't be covered. Anyone have experience with opening / cleaning this type (or similar) cameras?
Thanks

Problem with built on lens cameras is that air has to enter the space between the lens and the CCD each time
the lens extends. There is little done to prevent the dust from being drawn into it other than close fitting
" Scrapper rings " between the lens barrow sections.
It would be nice if bellows could be used and the air be drown through some kind of air filter.
