After a couple of years of flawless operation, my A400 just died. It will 'flash' the conon startup screen on power up, but then turns itself off, occasionally flashing a message 'replace batteries'. I've done that, (all three batteries including the date backup) cleaned the battery contacts, left the power and memory card out for a day to try to 'reset' things, and still no joy.
Is there a button combination (or a just a well hidden 'reset' button?) to return the camera to it's factory firmware settings -- I'm just assuming the firmware has been corrupted somehow. I'm loathe to send a 2-3 year old camera in for $100 in service when a new one will cost only a few dollars more.
There HAS to be a way to do this without sending it to a factory! Have we ALL bought into the 'no user servicable parts inside' myth? :) Thanks //KV Zichi
