Canon Camera Voice Annotation Hack Inquiry

I am a professional photographer with a society photo agency in San Francisco, and am looking for a solution to what seems to be a unique problem. I would prefer to use non-1D series cameras for my photographers, but they do not have a voice annotation feature. That feature allows us to efficiently capture names & captions or our images. I am hoping to find someone i can hire to hack the vertical grip and add a voice annotation feature - either by creating one or pulling it out of another camera (canon uses the feature in its point and shoots too). In any case, I am simply trying to make a 30 sec recording in WAV format with the same name as the preceding file. If you know anyone who might be able to make this work, I would deeply appreciate it if you would put us in touch.
