Canon G9 USB remote control with RAW capability

I am needing to trigger my G9 by USB remote which i will use a blip from www.blip.co.au

the problem is i need RAW capability and the G9 does not allow this for remote triggering but does normally.

There must be a way to allow RAW during remote trigger and please show me the way?

I face exactly the same problem and would be glad if somebody can help:

I want to take a picture every 5 secondes to about 150 Frames.

The RAW pictures will then be batch processed to JPG and finally converted to AVI.

The solution seams to be easy: Remote Capture DC3 can be used to take the pictures and save the result directly on HDD.

THE PROBLEM: Remote Capture DC3 doesn not offer to take RAW pictures but I NEED RAW Images for the processing.

I tried 3rd party software for remote capture but that does also not work PSRemote

In experimenting with the Canon SDK...
Page 5-5 of the Powershot RemoteCapture software developer's guide...
There is a property of "Fullview_file_format"
0x01 = JPG
0x02 = CRW
Trying to set this property to either value returns an error code.
I have no problems setting other properties like ISO or shutter speed, so I have to assume that the G9 does not support this function for remote capture. There are lots of features missing from remote capture on the G9, most notably is any kind of manual focus. I don't know what Canon was thinking on this one. After all, who could *ever* want to manually focus a camera remotely? Or the rotation angle. It will write the rotate to a JPG EXIF, but you can't query the camera for the current angle. Meaning you can't process in memory. You are forced to write to hard drive then read it back in to get the EXIF data. Talk about SLOW.
