Canon Powershot a610 movie capture

Hello!

I jsut bought myself this powershot camera, and i realised, that it can capture onlu 98 minutes of video on the 1gb card. thats insane, compressed movies could run like 3-4 hours with that kind a capacity.

is there some kind a hack/firmware which would enable me to record compressed movies more than 8 minutes??
