EOS 20Da firmware on EOS 20D

Hi, does someone know what happens if I install the 20Da firmware in the 20D?
The goal is to obtain the Live view feature useful for astro-images.

Thanks
Joe

Even if the firware could be installed on the 20D isn't there another problem -- as I understand it the 20Da has a semitransparent mirror so that the image from the lens can be viewed in the LCD screen. As far as I know the standard 20D has a solid mirror.

One could always have used the mirror lock up. That would get round the non-transparent mirror problem.

The mirror on the 20Da is NOT semi transparent. The Mirror is locked up during the Focus View mode.

This would be a VERY welcome hack, as not all of us can affort an extra $1000.00 for the Focus View Mode and increased red spectrum sensitivity.

I sure would like to know if the firmware hack to provide Focus Viewing becomes available!
