I would like to know if anyone has taken apart a Canon G10. I'm considering dissecting a G10, removing the lens, and modifying it to mount Canon FD lenses. I don't need autofocus or IS. I'm also considering modifying it to add a shutter speed dial. I want a good fully manual digital interchangeable lens camera. I don't know what the electronics or lens assembly of the G10 are like I'd like to hear if anyone has taken it apart, so that I don't drop the money on this camera, open it up, and get some suprises. Also, does anyone have some advice on this? Thanks.

I recently attempted the same idea with a Sony Cyber-shot T11 digital camera and Canon EF lenses. It would have worked beautifully if I hadn't stripped the CCD ribbon cable. You can get a glimpse of the project here: Sony Cyber-shot and Canon EF Hybrid
