Modifying Canon20D

I am interested in modifying a Canon20D by inserting a thin piece of glass with special optical properties in front of the sensor.

Anyone have any suggestions/warnings regarding how to do this? Is the
sensor fairly accessible once the camera is disassembled and the hot filter removed?
