SD500 WIFI

so i was wondering if it would be possible with some hacking to somehow be able to make my sd500 into a WIFI enabled device through which i can send data packets(the image) to my computers wireless router(LAN) and into the computers hard drive. I've been reading about PTP/IP, would there be a way for me to enable this protocol on my sd500 and use a usb wifi type of device as the hardware which will transfer the images? PLEASE get back to this message soon, this is my science fair for this year and its due veryyyyyy soon like in 3 weeks.

Hmmm . . . interesting question. I wonder if it is possible to use a Nikon WT-1A, WT-2A, or WT-3A Wireless Transmitter (see "Related Links" below) directly on another digital camera, such as the SD500. Or if they can be easily hacked . . .
