Unerase in DPOF? (Canon S5)

Teenagers! On our way home from a 1 week canoe trip in Algonquin Park, one of my teenager daughters (I have 2 - help!) deleted an AVI of a moose that inadvertently trotted into our campsite. I want this file back.

IF DPOF file deletion is the same as MS then there should be a way to recover it. Is anyone aware of such a method?

Thanks a bunch.
