advanced IR remote

Hey!

Do you know if there are any IR remotes made to control the Cannon cameras? Offcourse other than the universal, rc1, and rc5 solutions? I am looking for a more feature rich set?

Hey, Steven, I was aware a "more feature rich" remote existed for the Canon digital SLR cameras until today. Today, I found that there is a Canon LC-5 Wireless Controller for select EOS Digital SLR Cameras that can perform quite a few more functions than the RC-1 and RC-5. Here are some of its capabilities:

  • "line-of-sight" distance of up to 330 feet
  • Single-Shot mode
  • Continuous mode
  • Test mode
  • Delay mode
  • "wake" the camera from its energy saving "sleep mode"
  • transmitter, receiver and bracket

However, this device has its own infrared receiver and doesn't operate with the built-in infrared receive on Canon cameras. The infrared receiver operates the camera through the N3 port.
