I am not sure what you are asking . . . Your PocketWizard did not come with a connector for your Canon EOS 1D?
The cable you need may be the Pocket-Wizard CM-N3 Motor Cord - Canon N3 Connector to Miniphone - 3' . . . a $113 device. Are you asking about how to make one of these?
I do not know how to make one of these cables. Mainly due to the remote trigger connector on the 1D.
The Canon 1D has a N3-type terminal Remote triggering port. Meaning that any device with N3 connector can be plugged in, such as the Canon TC-80N3 Timer Remote Control or the Canon RS-80N3 Remote Switch.
The bad news is that the N3 connector is non-standard, meaning a source for it can't be found anywhere. One way you can get the connector is to buy one of the remote switch above and cut off the N3 connector for your use. Another slightly cheaper source is the Canon RA-N3 Remote Switch Adapter. This adapter allows you to adapt a T3 remote switch to a N3 trigger port. You'll need to cut off the N3 connector end for your cable.
The N3 connector pin-out (looking at the N3 connector on the camera):
Top - ground
Left - shutter
Right - focus
What this pin-out means is that if you short the right and the top pin, the camera will focus (in AF mode). If you short the left and top pin, the shutter will release.
Hope this helps.
