s70 series shots?

a friend tells me that there is a hack or other way to get the canon powershot s70 to take pictures at an interval - for example, one frame every 10 seconds, or every hour, etc. I don't see anything in the documentation, though. Any ideas?

It's a built in feature, called an Intervalometer.

The built in software in the camera will only allow 1 minute intervals though and a max of no. of shots of something ridiculously crippled like 99. There is also software include that you can install to control the camera via your pc. If you want something more portable than tethered pc control without the limitations of the internal software you'll need to look at an external controller triggering via infrared (Have a look at Harbortronics, Pclix and the Mumford Time Machine).
