FujuFilm FinePix HS10 Does Not Turn Off

sometimes my camera doesn't turn off when i flip the switch to "off". often i use the viewfinder, and may not notice that the camera isn't off. i'm not sure if this is true of any of the other ones.

Happens with mine once in a while, and I also mostly use the viewfinder. I have gotten into the habit of tapping the shutter to make sure I don't hear the focus beep. I believe that also makes the camera shut off if it's still on.
