Kodak EasyShare M1063 Lens Extends and Retracts When Turned On

ok guys i have a kodak m1063 and the lens would pop out then go back in.
it was fully charged and everything.
i took the advice given on here to tap the front of the camera 3 times lightly but not too light and then IT WORKEDDDDDDDDD!!!

Did this really work??? I'm having the same exact problem and I tried this technique but it didn't do anything

Did you tap it in a specific spot? I would greatly appreciate your help on this and look forward to hearing from you soon!!
