when using the video of Kodak Z8612IS i cannot zoom the video.. is there a setup and how?

Do you mean while you are waiting on standby, recording, or while you are playing back?
Based on my experience, a lot of digital cameras do not allow you to zoom while capturing the video. However, when it's in standby mode, you can zoom in and out to compose your shot. Once you have composed it, you can start the recording.
I don't know why they don't allow you to zoom the video while recording. Perhaps, for companies like Canon and Sony, they do it to prevent cannibalizing their camcorder line. But I don't think Kodak sells any camcorders, right?

waaahhh del nagtanong ka din pala dito. may kausap ako sa kodak chat. capable naman daw ang z8612is ng zoom while video recording.
