dx6340 wont powerup

there are hundreds of posts on this topic but no solutions. My kodak seems to be just like everyone elses....one day it just stopped working. One forum poster suggested an internal lithium cell, so I dismantled my camera to find a "pas614L", which is a 3.3v rechargable cell not a lithium battery as suggested. Mine showed a terminal voltage of 0.8v so I thought I was on the right track. I gave it a "boost charge", resoldered it back in circuit, reassembled the camera....but its still dead. Any ideas?
thanks,
Richard

Does anyone have any technical info on kodak digital cameras?
Are there other sites where technical info is available?
thanks,
Richard.

Did you change the battery? If so where did you find a supplier?

I understand the problem is a blown fuse on the battery circuit - which Kodak won't repair out of warranty. Seems like it happens extremely commonly after 2-3 years, which would indicate some common problem in manufacture, but Kodak does not acknowledge any.

Given cost of repair and cost of new cameras with higher specs, I have replaced rather than repair, but I DID like the camera and wish it still worked. There ARE times I'd still use it.
