How to hack firmware?

Hello,
Your site has some great insight into hacking cameras. I want to find out how I canhack the firmware of my Sanyo, iDshot IDC-1000Z camera to modify the stop-motion animation features. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith

I was hoping you might be able to tell me if any of the software available on Sanyo's site could help me hack my Sanyo IDC-1000ZU camera? I am not a computer programer but I know someone who is.

Sanyo Microcontrollers.
