Currently, Pentax is business related with brand name of Hoya after the company gets merged to Hoya Corporation. Pentax has recently introduced this compact camera in its Optio Series. This camera is new to the market and this camera is a simple and stylish digital camera of this century. This camera has been launched in October 2009 with a price of 185 euro. The Pentax Optio M85 is little bit expensive than the E85 model but its features make it worthy to pay.

The Pentax Optio M85 camera has a stylish compact body with the dimension of 90×58x19mm slim size and it weighs just 105g. Since this camera is a light weight one, it can be carried anywhere by easily keeping in the pocket. This camera comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery and for a single full recharge it can take almost 215 shots.

The Pentax Optio M85 has the lot of astonishing features. This is ultra compact and this camera is a point and shoot camera made of stylish metal body. This slim camera features a 12.0-Megapixel high resolution CCD image sensor and it has 32 – 96 mm 3x optical zoom lens. It also includes 3.0 inch and 230.000 dots large crystal clear LCD display. This camera has 5x digital zoom with a maximum resolution rate of 4000 x 3000 pixels and the image ratio in this camera is 16:9, 4:3(w:h). This camera also has the option to capture and record high definition videos with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 15fps. The maximum video resolution in this camera is 1280 x 720 and the minimum video resolution is 620 x 240. This camera also has face recognition to a maximum of 10 faces at a time.

Handling this camera does not require an artistic photographer because this camera makes the work simpler by providing an option of capturing image in automatic mode. It also provides a good convenience to view the captured image and to make camera settings. There is also an auto scene facility in this camera. The features of this camera are really impressive and this camera can be easily handled even by a child.
