Rename Photos Which Prevented Viewing on Digital Camera

i took pictures using my camera. i pulled them up on my computer. i gave them names. although they are still on the disk, now i can not review them in my camera anymore. the only ones i can review in the camera are the ones that i did not name. so i went back and started putting the numbers back on them (PICT00003 etc.) but that did not work. how do i fix it this. i don't always have access to a computer, and i want to still be able to view my pictures until i am able to make printouts of them. your help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

If you really did name it "PICT00003", then the name is incorrect. It is suppose to be 8 characters. But you showed 9 characters. That's is because the camera review is based on the DCIM/DCF standards. You could get more familiar with the problem here: using Sony digital camera as a picture viewer
