I also got one of these cameras. I even have a disk (choc full of windows drivers), but alas! I am a Mac user and even the driver on this page has a folder "__MACOSX" with nothing in it!

You guys using an SD card? Seems like that and a reader would be the easy answer. I just bought one of these for my daughter for xmas. Hope it's not too bad...

Wow, I cannot believe how much trouble I am having finding MAC drivers for this camera.
If ANYONE has got theirs working on a MAC pc, could you please provide a link to the driver? The disc only has Windows drivers that I can see, and the .zip file provided above proved useless.
ANy help would be much appreciated

the camera doesn't require drivers it acts as a removable disk drive. it only shows up when the memory card is inserted and you have to plug it into a usb in the back of the comp.
if you are using mac the card has to be inserted.

It is a plug and play device. No driver is needed as long as your OS is not absurdly old. Plug it in, and it will be recognized as a removable disk drive the same way a thumb drive would be recognized.

I just successfully got it to read on both XP and 2000 machines...it was the cable that they sent (too too long - 24"). I went and got a universal card reader (came with short cable - 12") and both camera and card reader would work with short cable but now with the long cable - no go!
Just to make sure it was cable length (I tried two identical long cables, both did the same thing).
Hope someone else can verify.

I use a 3 foot cable and have no problem - i use a free driver designed for all cameras ~ probably 5.1 6.1 7.1 8.1 1.2 3.2 4.1 or whatever you use !
free quality generic digital camera driver !

What is the overall opinion of this camera besides not being able to find the driver. I'm considering getting it for my 8 year old. Would she be able to get decent pictures with it, or would it be a dissapointment?

No Mac driver available. Various links on this page are for Windows drivers.

Well,The camera sux! It freezes up with the SAN DISK card in it. The camera wastes batterys like no ones business.ALL,around it just SUX. WAL-MART sux for selling it.
Oh,and you must have the exact amount of light to take a good picture. Most digital cameras that are cheap require alot of light for a great pic. This SAKAR 3.1 POS in alot of light make everything white.Low light it loses res and picture quality, not to mention a super dark picture if that is what you want to call it.POS!!!

You don t need drivers, just conect usb to computer, conect usb to camera, select play or setup in camera and winxp autodetec it as hard disk drive (two), one for memory stick and one for integrated camera memory.
Just select the images and copy or cut and paste in "my documents"
Be carefull because it can have virus too.
greetings
