4X digital zoom at high resolution on DSC-V1

Hi,
I was looking for a way to disable the 'smart zoom' on my Sony DSC V1 so that I could use the 4X digital zoom at high resolution. Is this possible?

Thanks,

On my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T11, I can change the "Digital Zoom" setting to: "Smart", "Precision", or "Off".

When "Smart" is set, I can't get any digital zoom at 5 MP (the maximum resolution for this camera). I can only get up to 3x zoom. But if I set the camera to 3 MP, then I can zoom up to 3.8x. At 1 MP, I can zoom up to 6.1x. With the VGA resolution, I can zoom up to 12x.

When "Precision" is set, I can get up to 6x digital zoom at all resolutions (even 3:2 mode).

Does your DSC-V1 have these settings?

Thanks for your reply. I don't have exactly the same, but it is set up similarly. The higher the resolution, the less you can digitally zoom. At 5 MP I get 4X optical, and nothing with the digital. I don't want to shoot at a lower resolution; why not use all that the camera was made to do? My smart zoom is either on or off. I was hoping to get around it somehow. I haven't heard of other manufacturers doing this.
