Adding an extenal mic jack.

I've added external mic jacks to several bridge cameras both Nikons, Canons and one Sony. Now I have a Sony DSC-HX300 I want to do this on. Has anyone ever done this mod? The electronics are no problem for me, but figuring out covers to remove are what I'm wondering about.
