Everything has been reset to default setup again -manually, unless somebody know how to find this button/menu setup somehow.
Never had any problems, it somewhat started spontaneously.
Pictures became blurry, I had cleaned the lens, and was not shaking around when I took all the pictures.
Never been dropped, took really good care of it.
Nobody can seem to help at repairs, and Sony takes a long time to get back to you.
Does anybody here seem to know whats going on?
I will attach one of the pics here.

Your CCD is bad, there is a recall but the T7 isnt covered... you can call up Sony and try begging and see what happens or look for a defective camera on eBay with a good CCD you can switch out.

do you know how much it costs to change the CCD without having to buy it off ebay (is it a standard size for most cameras)?
Thanks for the help.

You would have to buy it from Sony Parts, I dont know the exact part number but it looks like its about $100 from Sony.

I have a very similar problem with a cybershot DSC-P8, only reason I want to fix it is so the dive housing and all the extras I have don't go to waste. Annoying thing is it worked one day, then picked it up and switched it on the next and nothing but a blurred picture, very unhappy.....
Anyone had any luck fixing this problem???

I contacted Sony Australia and asked about this problem and imagine my surprise when they give me a reference number and an address to take the camera to to have the CCD sensor replaced free of charge.

I had the same problem. I own tons of sony products. When it broke it was less than a year old I waited like 6 months before addressing the problem with sony and they really didnt help all that much all they did was tell me were to send it and advise me that it would cost about $190 for a camera that was selling for $227 on line... Thanks alot sony. Its annoying that a big company dosent back there product when its an obvious defect...

Hard to believe that SONY is not recalling this model dsc t7 off the market. A true shame that the consumer is not protected for such an obvious DEFECT.
I purchased 2 DSC t-7 cameras and they both give me the same problems: CCD sensor.
I know that SONY is no longer to be trusted in the products they make. Used to be a SOny fan.
