DSC-P41 - Flash Not Working

My flash on my Cyber-shot just stopped working. Has anyone had that problem? I've tried all the troubleshooting ideas in the manual but nothing works. It's 2 years old.

My best friend's P41 flash just quit working

It gives her the symbol of a flash, but the flash never comes on

When she manually turns off the flash, the little hand comes up

Not sure what's wrong, got on here to look it up for her and found your post

I've had same problem with my Sony DSC-P41 flash and tried looking up every possibly in the manual - no luck. It takes pictures but flash doesn't go off. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for the feedback.

Im having this problem now with my camera. Its 3 years old and now the flash ain't working. Any suggestions?
