underwater housing for Sony DSC-P92

I am looking for some underwater housings for the Sony DSC-P92. I found a few:

  • Sony MPK-P1 Marine Underwater Housing for Sony DSC-P1 Camera
  • Sony Marine Pack and Sport Jacket MPK-PHA for DSC-P8 and DSC-P10
  • ewa-marine's D-CP1 for the DSC-P72

Does anyone know if any of these will work with the Sony DSC-P92 digital camera?

The D-CP1 bag-style housing seems flexible. Just wondering how it would effect the operation of the camera. Has anyone had any experience?

I found that the DSC-P72 and the DSC-P92 has the same form-factor and size. So accessories for the DSC-P72 should work with the DSC-P92.

The DSC-P72 and DSC-P92 are different form-factor and size compared to the DSC-P1, DSC-P8, an DSC-P10. So the two Sony housing I mentioned above PROBABLY will not work.

I am ready to order the underwater housing today. I found that ewa-marine has updated its web-site. The have now listed a new model, D-CP2, for the DSC-P92. And they have also changed the model to D-CP2 for DSC-P72 as well. This is probably what I will get.

Sony makes a nice hard Cyber-shot Marine Pack MPK-PEA underwater case for the DSC-P93 and DSC-P73. Too bad the form-factor of these cameras have changed so it probably will not work with the DSC-P92 now the DSC-P72.

I have been shooting with the D-CP2 housing and my DSC-P92 in the water lately. Review of the D-CP2 underwater housing is now up on the site, located here.

I would go with the DSC-P92. I bought one for my camera and it has worked fine. I haven't tried the other underwater housing because this one seems to work exactly how I needed it to, but I am sure there are different benefits to each one. It depends on how deep you're going and what type of underwater photography you're doing.
