DSC-W80 FIle error Blue Screen

Recently I have obtained a Sony Cybershoot DSC-W80 and it was working fine up until now. I can take pictures but when I try to view them on my camera, it gives a blue screen and it says "File Error". I can upload pictures to my computer, but when I try to look at these pictures, it is distorted with horizontal lines running across the picture. Please help, I can't find the answer to this any where.

So you are saying when you view the photos on your computer, you see distorted horizontal lines running across the photos?

If that's what you are saying, then it sounds like there is something write with file I/O (input/output) operation. Hopefully it is the memory card that is bad. Try a different memory card and see if it is the problem.

Can you show us an example?
