WOW! I've been hoping somebody would ask/answer this question for a while! I've tried uploading a couple different formats but none of them are showing up on the camera. I'll join Jason's request on this one!

I'm almost a year late but there is a software that is able to convert video files into a format that can be viewed with many different Sony Cybershot and Casio Exilim digital cameras. That includes T1. Unfortunately it's a commercial product and the free demo version creates videos only up to three minutes of lenght, videos longer than that will be simply cut.
You can find it here: Digital Camera Media Studio
The video format used in Sony Digital Cameras is a proprietary implementation of MPEG1 called "MpegMovieVX", and this software seems to be the only one available to consumers that's able to encode videos into it. It's said on Wikipedia that Makayama (the makers of this software) has reverse engineered the format. If only they shared their knowledge :/

Great software but only supports some Sony Cybershot cameras, the DSC models like DSC-500 are unsupported yet.

Marcos: Al Sony cameras which record MPEG VX videos are supported, even if they are not listed on the Makayama website. It seems that Makayama is not actively updating the list. But I had a camera that was not listed and still worked.
However I found that that the newer MPEG4 video that some cameras now record is not supported. That's why the DSC-500 is not listed.
Anyways, they have a free trial version so try before you buy

Title: using Sony digital camera as a picture viewer
Weblog: Camera Hacker
Excerpt: I have seen the KODAK EASYSHARE Picture Viewer at CostCo for as low as $99, whereas it retails for $149.95. But you know, I've been thinking, I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T11 digital camera that is almost just as small and as light as the KODAK EASYSHARE Picture Viewer. The DSC-T11 is just one inch . . .
