Just recently experience this Memory Stick on my wife's Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 digital camera. The 8GB memory card had worked fine for a year or so. All of a sudden, we get the 'Reinsert the "Memory Stick"' on the digital camera after we turn it on and try to shoot a photo.
I was not successful at reading this card at all on my computer, nor did it work with any of my other digital cameras. This is a 8GB microSDHC Card in a microSDHC to Memory Stick Pro Duo Converter.
The only device that still recognized this corrupted card was my HTC Touch Windows Mobile Phone. I was able to re-format the card on this mobile device. And after doing so, it worked with my computers and the DSC-T900 for a few days. After that the problem re-occurred again. Looks like it's a damaged card.

Try cleaning the memory stick's contacts.
