direct capture to computer with Sony DSC-717

Hello folks,

I have a Sony DSC-717 and I was wondering if there is a hack or a
piece of software out there that will allow me to save pictures/movies
taken using a DSC-717 directly to my (laptop) computer bypassing the
memory-stick altogether?

Also, if it is not possible with this camera, is there another (decent
quality) digital camera that will allow me to take pictures this way?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I know the Canon EOS D30 camera comes with a piece of software to capture and save pictures directly to the computer. The camera can be tethered to the computer's USB port. The software is called RemoteCapture.

The Canon EOS D60 and 10D probably also have this feature.
