I've read a lot on people having the same problem with the Sony DSC-500. I went to take a picture and the camera turned off, leaving the lens open. I checked the batteries, put new ones in more than a few times and it still won't work. Tried to turn it on but it comes on for a second, blinks the red battery light and turns off. Lens open still.
I read a thread on another site saying they cleaned the contacts inside the camera.. but with this camera there aren't any external screws or any place to open the camera.
Am i missing something? How do you open up this camera to manually fix it.I do not want to break the camera trying to pry it open.
Help would be appreciated!
