Leica M7 Edition Hermes -- A Pleasurable Analog Camera for Photographers Limited to Numbers

Leica Camera AG is a German based international company which has been ruling the world of optical industries for a long period. Other than Leica Camera AG company there are two other companies that share the brand name Leica, namely Leica Microsystems GmbH Wetzlar, Germany and Leica Geosystems AG Heerbrugg, Switzerland. Leica Camera AG concentrates on manufacturing wide range of products for Photography, Hunting Lenses and Nature Watching.

Now, Leica, the best manufacturer of cameras and the makers of luxury brands, Hermes, have joined to produce a limited series of Leica M7 Edition Hermes analog camera. This camera is ready to hit the UK markets by December 2009 and worldwide later. There will be a total number of 200 cameras manufactured under this brand name. Half of the total, which is 100 cameras among the total will be in orange color and the other 100 will be released in green color. The camera will be having a silver chrome finish. Each of the two colored cameras will be numbered from 001 to 200 out of to 200.

Though there are no official details about the specifications of this camera, it is supposed to have the following features. The camera has been released in UK last December and the price of this special edition camera was $14,300. This film camera comes with a metallic visor and it also features a rapid-wind lever which is made of chrome and also a convenient leather strap attached to its body. Altogether this special edition camera has a stylish design and look.

Some other special features of this camera are, its 35mm rangefinder system, which is facilitated by a Leica SUMMILUX-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. wide-angle lens. This lens is a matching classic round lens. The top of this camera carries the Leica name in classic script and there is a red colored Leica logo which is provided to stop color clash. The shutter speed dial is sheltered by the shade of the camera's leather.

The quality of this camera, without doubt, will be good and there is nothing to prove especially when the camera carries the brand name Leica. The image quality which we can achieve through the technology of a Leica camera is also well known. The only hard thing, for the buyers, is that, this camera is a limited edition one and that too limited to a small quantity of 200 pieces only. But, however it is worth giving a try on this camera.
