How can I attach a Cannon EOS Lense to My Nikon D70?? Is there an adapter that works well?

Similar to the "Minolta MD lens to Canon EOS body adapter" messages, an no-lens-element Canon EOS lens to Nikon body probably doesn't exist. The basic law (from "Camera mounts & registers":
"The register of the lens system should be LARGER than the camera system. If the register of the lens system is SMALLER, or EQUAL (less than 1mm difference) than the camera system, the adaptor requires an optical element to make infinity focussing possible."
The Canon EOS lens is 44, while the Nikon body is 46.5. This combination fails the basic law. Therefore, it's easy to adapt Nikon lenses onto Canon EOS bodies, but difficult to adapt Canon EOS lenses onto Nikon bodies.
