I think B&H used to sell one. The type without any optic elements. These ones do not allow FD lenses to focus to infinity. It will basically turn your FD lenses into macro lenses on the EOS camera. Nice thing about not having an optical element is that the adapter preserves the image quality of the FD lens.
There is also another type of FD to EOS adapter, with an optical element. This type allows the FD lens to focus to infinity. However, the optical element may reduce image quality slightly.

Thank you Chieh Cheng,
I think I'll continue to shoot film/slide with my faithful F1 and FD lenses; and scan them into digital format. Thanks again.

hi
could anyone give me a link or more details on the optical adaptor, please, i've an old 50mm f1.2 fd that i'd like to mount on either a 350d/400d (neither purchased yet). as it cost a small fortune back in the day, and an eos replacement isn't exactly cheap, it makes sense to continue using "percy"
cheers
come on, i can't be the only person in the world to name his gear?

Jusr consider this, that lens will be all manual, no aperture or focus control.
You are a lot better of with the EF 50mm f/1.4 which is only a half a stop slower and only $350 or so.
You can find the adapters on Ebay from what I hear.

I went thru the same thing, but came to understand that it doesn't make much sense to have a fully automatic DSLR with manual lenses.
Also lenses designed for digital cameras have additional lens coating on the rear elements facing the camera sensor. That sensor is reflective and without rear element coating can cause some image quality reduction. So yes it is time for those old lenses to take a rest.
