Photo lenses on a handycam?

does anyone know if its possible to get (or make)an adapter ring to mount a lens from an slr or other high spec lens onto the 30mm mount on a sony camcorder.
i have attached a small "artists impression" of what im after...

I've added the "olympus lens adapters" thread to the TrackBack below. There is a very similar discussion there.

In order to do that, you'll need to introduce a corrective lens in the adapter. I'm not sure what lens element is needed at this point. But please do chime in if you have any idea.
